The X120 multiplexer/termination unit collects alarm and status contacts in the field and sends them over a serial link, so a pair of wires doesn't have to run from every contact to the control room.
- Up to 48 inputs: dry or live contacts or solid-state inputs, optically isolated, with a 16 ms digital filter
- Serial output at up to 9600 baud to a DCS, plant computer or Ronan X110 annunciator
- Up to 32 units on one daisy chain (1536 inputs)
- Single or redundant power supply: 115/220 Vac or 24/48/125 Vdc; contact wetting at 24 or 125 Vdc
- Ground-fault detection for each group of 24 inputs, with LED and relay
- Self-test, watchdog and loss-of-power relays; surge withstand to IEEE 472
