Hydrogen Measurement & Safety
Electrolysis in chlor-alkali and sodium chlorate plants makes hydrogen as a by-product. Hydrogen mixed with chlorine or air can explode, so it is watched closely. Laser analysers measure hydrogen directly in the gas line, without a sample system, for hydrogen safety monitoring and to control the hydrogen fed to HCl burners. The same analysers measure oxygen in hydrogen.
Hydrogen & Chlorine Gas Flow
Thermal mass flow meters measure the hydrogen sent to boilers or the lime kiln as fuel, and chlorine gas flow. For chlorine service the sensors are made in corrosion-resistant alloy.
Chemical Dosing & Injection
Ultra-sensitive thermal flow switches confirm that small chemical injection flows are really flowing, and Coriolis meters measure chlorate, acid and other chemical feeds by mass.
