Humidity & Dew Point Instruments
RH transmitters, dew-point sensors, hygrometers and moisture analysers.
Humidity and moisture affect product quality, comfort, energy use and equipment life. The right instrument depends on how dry the air or gas is and on what you need to do with the reading: control a room, protect a compressed-air system or meet a gas specification.
Choosing an instrument
- Room, duct and outdoor RH transmitters (DwyerOmega): relative humidity and temperature for cleanrooms, data centres and air handling, such as the Dwyer RHP and RHPX. The CDTR adds CO₂ for demand-controlled ventilation.
- Dew-point transmitters (Michell): for compressed air, dryers and process gases. The Easidew EA2 covers general duties; intrinsically safe and explosion-proof versions suit hazardous areas.
- Portable dew-point testers (Michell CDP301): spot checks and verification of fixed instruments.
- Reference and trace moisture: the S8000 RS chilled mirror hygrometer for calibration laboratories, the Pura for ultra-pure gases, and the QMA401 and QMA601 process moisture analysers.
- Hydrocarbon dew point (Michell Condumax II): for natural gas quality.
What to tell us
- What you are measuring (air or which gas) and the expected humidity or dew-point range
- Pressure and temperature at the measuring point
- Mounting: wall, duct, outdoor, in-line or sample system
- Output, display and alarm needs
- Area classification
Instruments are built to order to these details. See them placed on cleanrooms, liquid-cooled server rooms, battery energy storage containers and gas treatment and metering skids.
