The V6 Flotect® is a compact vane flow switch that protects pumps, engines and other equipment against low or no flow. A free-swinging vane moves a magnet that operates a snap switch, with no bellows, springs or seals to fail, and the electrical assembly can be replaced without removing the switch from the line.
Key specifications
- Pipe sizes: 1/2 to 2 in in a tee (1/4 and 3/8 in with bushings); low-flow model with adjustable set point
- Pressure: 1000 psig brass body, 2000 psig stainless body
- Temperature: -20 to 105 °C (205 °C high-temperature option)
- Switch: SPDT or DPDT snap switch, 5 A at 125/250 VAC
- Approvals: UL and CSA explosion-proof; ATEX and IECEx Ex db IIC T6
- Wetted parts: stainless vane; brass or stainless body
Where it’s used
Our application pages place it on pumps and compressors, hydronic heating and cooling, water purification (UPW) and battery energy storage thermal management. It can also stop a burner when air flow fails, or signal that an emergency shower is in use.
