The 2700 dual point switch is the two-set-point version of SOR's newest ultrasonic level switch, launched in 2025. It replaces the need to choose between SOR's earlier 712 and 722 models: failsafe, time delay and self-test are now standard on every unit. For a single alarm point, see the 2700 single point.

The two set points can work as independent high and low alarms, or be linked to start and stop a pump, with the pump logic included at no extra cost. Each set point uses a pair of crystals across a sensor gap: when liquid fills the gap the ultrasonic signal gets through and the relay changes state. With no moving parts there is no calibration, and maintenance is an annual visual inspection.

Standard on every unit
  • Pump logic, or two independent alarm points
  • Field-selectable failsafe
  • Adjustable time delay of up to 30 seconds, to ignore splashing and surges
  • Self-test that checks the connection to the control system
  • LEDs that show the configuration and relay status, visible through an optional glass window without opening the cover in a hazardous area
  • FM explosion-proof approval
Typical uses
  • Pump control on tanks and sumps
  • High and low alarms on mechanical seal pots
  • Level in chemical tanks and feedwater heaters
  • Oil and gas, water treatment and chemical processing
Key specifications
  • Pressure 0 to 2000 psi (0 to 135 bar); temperature -40 to 121 °C (-40 to 250 °F)
  • Sensor materials: 316 stainless steel, Monel, Alloy 20 or Hastelloy C
  • Approvals: FM, CRN
  • 3-year warranty
