Pneumatic Coaxial Retraction Unit
Pneumatic actuator that withdraws the spark tip from the flame after ignition, with 100–500 mm stroke and optional ATEX solenoid and limit switches.

In hot or corrosive combustion chambers, sulphur burners for example, leaving the spark tip in the flame shortens its life. TESI’s compact coaxial retraction unit mounts on standard ignition rods and pulls the tip back into a protected position once sparking has finished. ATEX versions are available.
