High Energy Ignition Systems
High energy power units, ignition rods and spark tips, cables, retraction units and portable igniters for burners.
A high energy ignition system produces a powerful spark, typically 10 to 25 joules, that lights gas, light oil and even heavy fuel oil directly. Moisture and deposits on the tip don’t stop it working, so it can replace traditional gas pilots on boilers, furnaces, heaters and gas turbines. A system has three main parts: a power unit (in a safe-area or explosion-proof enclosure), an ignition rod with a replaceable spark tip, and an armoured high-voltage cable. Retraction units and portable igniters are optional extras.
