TESI’s solid state power unit replaces the conventional gas spark gap with a 100% electronic circuit. It’s the most powerful unit in the range, and particularly effective at lighting heavy liquid fuels.
Highlights
- Power: 144 W to 250 W delivered.
- Long spark duration: each spark lasts about 20 times longer (over 600 µs). It comes with heavy-duty tips, rated in tests for an average life of about 1.5 million sparks.
- Steady, repeatable spark frequency: no spark-gap wear.
- Built-in safety: a red light flashes while the capacitor holds residual charge. The unit protects itself against capacitor failure, tip damage, a broken ignition cable, an output short circuit, a module fault and transformer over-temperature.
- Back-up spark gap: keeps the unit running even if the electronics fail.
- Retrofit: designed to work with the XEC-24, so existing spark-gap systems can be upgraded.
- Optional built-in spark counter for maintenance planning.
